Du'a for Sneezing

Did you know? Even a simple sneeze is considered a blessing from the great Allah Almighty. Sneezing is indeed a gift from Allah Almighty, and as Muslims, we should be grateful for it! Not to mention, when someone sneezes, it isn't just that person who should be thankful. If you happen to observe someone sneezing, it's your responsibility to acknowledge and respond to the Dua made by the person who sneezed.

The person who sneezes should recite the following Du'a:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

Transliteration: Alhamdulillah
Translation: "Thanks and all praise be to Allah."

The person who listens to the sneeze and witnesses the other person reciting the du'a should say the following:

يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ

Transliteration: Yar Hamuk Allah
Translation: "May Allah have mercy on you."
